Piano Maintenance
The best ongoing maintenance for your piano is to have it tuned regularly. Most piano manufacturers and piano technicians recommend tuning a piano 2x's per year. A piano will go out of tune even if it is not played. Changes in humidity levels effect the stability of a pianos tuning. If you leave a piano untuned for longer periods of time, it usually will go way out of tune. Then when you decide to tune it, you will more than likely have to have it tuned a few times to get it back to the correct pitch and stabilize the instrument. If you tune it regularly (even 1x per year is good) it will remain at the correct pitch (or at least very close) and will be a more stable instrument.
